They have a solid reputation for IT innovation and customer satisfaction which have distinguished Attachmate in the marketplace. Attachmate Channel Manager Camille Morgan comments;
“We see this appointment as a strategic step, widening our access to the UK market where there is very attractive growth potential. HANDD File Transfer comes with enormous experience and credibility, combined with a strong foot-hold in the market. HANDD Business Solutions Ltd, of which HANDD File Transfer is a division, has been operating in the UK for almost seven years and has built up a large portfolio of clients in the UK and abroad for secure and managed file transfer. Known for being independent consultants they are experts with compliance, governance, security and operational needs that can be met with the right software solutions. Working with the world’s most respected software writers in the managed file transfer field, the addition of Attachmate to their portfolio of prestigious vendors is timely as data protection becomes more important.
Chris Farrelly Sales Director at HANDD File Transfer commenting on the move:
“We are delighted that Attachmate has recognised our strengths and experience in this market and believe that we have all the resources and expertise to make the most of this exciting partnership. We operate in many verticals and know that the Attachmate state-of-the-art, modular MFT product suite can offer a unique solution to our portfolio. Having analysed a number of the leading players within the MFT market, I feel Attachmate and specifically their FileXpress solution is one of the leading lights in the space. Our raison d'être is to provide our customers with the best solution on the market for their specific needs & requirements. I feel by adding the Attachmate product suite, we have a very rounded and polished Enterprise MFT solution that will ensure our customers continue to have access to the best and most forward-thinking vendors in the Managed File Transfer Market. ”
Secure and managed file transfer have seen massive growth over the last few years due to the inherent weaknesses of FTP. Managed file transfer offers complete control and visibility of data as it flows around organisations and between them and their stake-holders. Operational efficacy, data protection and governance mean that data security is more important than ever to divert file leakage disaster.
Barry Davis Regional Sales Director for the UK said ‘We are very excited with signing HANDD in the UK. With Attachmate’s expertise in delivering robust products and HANDD’s extensive knowledge of the MFT market we feel that this partnership will help extend these offerings out to the UK reseller market’
In a recent survey carried out by Attachmate it revealed that numerous companies still use FTP or other legacy data transfer systems, even though 53 per cent of those surveyed realize that these methods do not meet current security standards. Thus, it comes as no surprise that data security is viewed as their greatest challenge.
